Homes for Sale in Victoria on the River London Ontario
Natural green, riverside views, and recent construction in the City of London? It sounds too good to be true! Thanks to development at the corner of Commissioners and Hamilton Road, all of those features are now a reality! Victoria on the River is a new neighbourhood by Sifton Properties. Though considered to be a part of the Jackson area in Southeast London, Victoria on the River was originally annexed from Westminster in 2003 along with the rest of the Old Victoria. Now, it is an up-and-coming neighbourhood and a pocket of nature secluded from the bustle of London, Ontario.
Real Estate
This Sifton development is located North of Commissioners Road, South-West of Hamilton Road, East of Highbury Avenue, and directly south of the Thames River. The neighbourhood features a mix of single-family residences and townhouses with planned multi-family dwellings on the horizon.
There are five different builders working alongside Sifton Properties for the project and each offer something unique to the neighbourhood. Magnificent Homes, Qwest Homes, and Sifton Properties are currently offering townhouse options starting in the $300,000s. Magnificent Homes, McKenzie Homes, and Richfield Custom Homes all offer single-family houses. Detached houses in Victoria on the River are available in single-story or two-story styles, in a variety of floor plans, and starting in the $500,000s.
In an adjacent area called Old Victoria on the Thames, Tridon is also working on a 3 phase development of detached, single-family dwellings starting in the $400,000s. The proposed 160 residential unit development is currently on its second phase, with condominium units expected in the third phase. Sunlight Heritage Homes is the builder in this development and they are offering bungalow and two-story homes across eight different floor plans.
Living in Victoria on the River
The name says it all! This neighbourhood is located at the corner of Commissioners Road and Hamilton Road, just south of the Thames River with easy access to the 401. When the land was added to London, it was rural and mostly used for agriculture. Development over the years has turned Victoria on the River into a prime residential area alongside the natural beauty of the riverside.

Victoria on the River doesn’t have any schools of its own yet, but it is well serviced by schools in nearby communities.

In addition to easy access to nature, Victoria on the River is close to many of London’s most convenient shopping centres. White Oaks Mall is only a 15-minute drive away. The mall has 185 stores servicing a wide variety of tastes across its dining and shopping options. Also nearby is the Argyle Mall and the stores located along Clarke Road to the North. Argyle Mall is truly more of an outdoor plaza with many stores nearby to one another for your shopping convenience. With a well-organized mix of stores and parking, many visitors prefer shopping plazas to indoor shopping malls.
Victoria on the River is also in a great spot for entertainment. There are four golf courses within a 10-minute drive, East Park London, River Road Golf Course, The Willow’s Golf Course, and the Dorchester Golf & Country Club. The closest of which, East Park London also has a water park with both indoor and outdoor attractions for the whole family.
