When looking over education options in Woodstock, Ontario you will have a vast list to review. Thames Valley District School Board and London District Catholic School Board are both within Woodstock and govern a total of 19 Schools from JK-Grade 12.
Grade School options within the public school board are, Algonquin Public School, Central Public School, Eastdale Public School, Northdale Public School, Oliver Stephens Public School, Southside Public School, Springbank Public School, and Winchester Street Public School.
The Catholic School board offers grade school options of St. Michael’s Catholic School, St. Patrick’s Catholic School.
There are 4 French Immersion options, one within the public school board, Roch Carrier French Immersion Public School and three within the Catholic district, Holy Family Catholic French Immersion, Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence and Ecole Elémentaire Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys.
While there are considerably fewer options at the high school level, there are still choices available. The public system offers Woodstock Collegiate Institution, Huron Park Secondary School or College Avenue Secondary School. The Catholic high school is St. Mary’s High School and French Immersion is available at Ecole Secondaire Notre Dame.
Continuing your education in the City of Woodstock is possible through the Woodstock Campus of Fanshawe College. The College is situated on 50 acres of manicured property and is attached to Woodstock District Community Complex. Part time, full time and self-paced learning are all offered out of this location.
Making your way around Woodstock is a breeze with the Woodstock Transit system. 6 bus routes will take you where you need to go. The Transit system offers regular transit as well as paratransit for those who can’t use the traditional buses. Registration is required.
If you need to venture outside of Woodstock you will have quick access to the 401 as well as a 403 junction. Making your way to London, Toronto or surrounding cities will be no issues.
