St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School has long been boosted about for its vast art programs and athletic successes. For students to participate in the athletic programs, the school has a strict policy that each team member must have a class load of at least 3 credits with a perfect attendance. Athletic teams and opportunities include badminton, football, baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, hockey, soccer, swimming, tennis track and field, and volleyball.

St. Thomas Aquinas, also, has a uniform policy, limiting bullying and maintaining a safe school environment. For other support and guidance, the school has 2 guidance counselors and partakes in community initiatives to ensure the safety of all students including a CrimeStoppers programme, the Safe Schools Committee, and a no tolerance suspension styled programme.

The school is much of the same with their mission stating that the teachers and programs strive “to present the Catholic tradition and teachings in all our pedagogy to prepare our students to meet the demands of modern life within the context of the gospel.”
