Gabriel-Dumont is located in the south-east of London and is one of London’s first language French schools. Upon graduation, students are fluent in French and English languages.

Despite the small French population in the London area, the area qualified to offer French educational facilities as per the French Language Services Act in Ontario. The original French high school opened in 1979 and became the Gabriel-Dumont Secondary School in 1998.

Named after the Metis Leader, Gabriel Dumont, this top Secondary School in London Ontario teaches grades 7-12. The student body is about 163 students.

The high school is noted for its excellent arts and soccer programs. The Fraser Institute rated the school at a 5.7 out of 10 for the last 5 years, with 7.8 being the top score in recent years. The school is ranked 279th out of 623 schools in the last 5 years.

Located at 2463 Evans Boulevard, Gabriel-Dumont Secondary School is part of the Conseil Scolaire Viamonde, which is the French-Language Public District School Board in the south-west of Ontario.

Students from Gabriel-Dumont stem from the French elementary schools, Ecole Elementaire La Pommeraie and Ecole Elementaire Marie-Curie.
