Catholic Central Secondary School officially opened its doors in downtown London in 1952. With a rapid increase in the student population over the next few decades, the facility underwent major renovations in 1997 and 1998. These renovations included the building of a new chapel, a new library, a technology wing, an updated science and computer lab, a new cafeteria and gym, and the expansion and creation of a more modern and efficient office and guidance center.

The school is part of the London Catholic District School Board and has a variety of specialty programs. These programs include a music extension program, English as a second language, leaders in exercise and athletics programs, sports management, an environmental leadership program, and a nonprofit leadership program. The facility aims to help each student form values and morals inspired by the Catholic faith, as well as aid in each students’ growth and development to meet their maximum potential.

This exceptional secondary school has a strict uniform policy and code of conduct. In the last five years, the non-profit Fraser Institute rated the school a 5 out of 10, and 416th out of a total of 623 schools.
