Southgate Real Estate

Southgate is based on the residential streets that connect with Southgate Road in Cambridge’s west end. This area is sometimes also known as West Galt because it is due west of Cambridge’s downtown core. Southgate is roughly bound by Salisbury Avenue to the north and Cedar Street to the south. The area includes the residential area between Salisbury Avenue and Cedar Street as well as the businesses, shopping and dining along Cedar Street. Houses in Southgate are mostly detached properties with many options for single-storey floor plans. Throughout the neighbourhood, there are split-level and two-storey properties as well. There are some row-style townhouses available closer to Cedar Street.

Residents living in Southgate have their choice between shopping along Cedar Street at the Westgate Centre or driving less than 10 minutes into downtown Cambridge. In addition, there are schools, parks and other community features nearby as well.
