Oak Real Estate
The Oak area is defined by Oak Street which runs north from Main Street in the south before rounding a corner and connecting with Lincoln Avenue in the east. Everything north of Concession Street, east of downtown Cambridge, south of Dundas Street and west of Lincoln Avenue is considered part of the Oak area of East Galt. Oak is a lovely subdivision with mature streets, tall trees and so many beautiful houses. A lot of the historic beauty and charm that the core of Cambridge - the former Galt - is known for carries over into the nearby Oak area. Most homes are detached with an older sense of character. There is a mix of two-storey and bungalow style homes lining the streets.
Residents of Oak get to enjoy Galt’s historic beauty while still living apart from Cambridge’s downtown core. The biggest boon of that is that the interior streets of the Oak area are a lot quieter, but still nearby to all the conveniences along Main Street, Concession Street and in the downtown area.
