The Orchard Park neighbourhood is located north-west of downtown London and is bordered by Wonderland Road to the West, Sarnia Road to the South, Gainsborough Road to the North, and the Medway Valley and University of Western Ontario to the East. The area is home to many spacious and modern estates that give off an endearing and fairytale-like charm.
Bill Davies started development in the area in the 1950s. Street names, such as Bromleigh and Wychwood Park, were chosen by Davies’ offering a glimpse into the developer’s life. 'Wychwood Park' represents the Toronto community where Davies grew up, and the name, 'Bromleigh' links to Birmingham, England where one of his daughters lived at the time. The Sherwood Forest Mall is only a short drive away and is home to an RBC, Food Basics, and LCBO. A Costco and other commercial properties, such as Sobeys, Tim Hortons, and other restaurants, are quick drive south down WonderlandRoad.
North of Orchard Park is the Medway Arena and Medway Park off Wonderland Road. The beautiful Medway Valley Heritage Forest also lies to the north and offers over 10.6 kilometres of trials. Nearby are Al Furanna Park, Gretna Green Park, Ruskin Park, and Rollingwood Circle Park. Al Furanna Park is home to 2 tennis courts. Gretna Green Park, Ruskin Park, and Rolling Circle Park offer beautiful open green space and an area for the kids to run and play.
Schools close by to the Orchard Park London Ontario Real Estate include Orchard Park Public School, Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School, and St Thomas More Catholic Elementary School. Further, the neighbourhood is not far from the highly renowned University of Western Ontario.
